Cancún Tech Day

Privacy notice

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Latinx Tech Group, organizer of Cancún Tech Day, is responsible for the personal data collected through cancuntech.day and the event channels. This notice explains what data we process, why, and how you can exercise your rights under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

What data we collect

  • Browsing data. The site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel. These tools use cookies and identifiers to record page views, traffic source (including UTM parameters), device and browser type, and a truncated IP address.
  • Registration data. Attendee registration happens on Luma (luma.com) and speaker applications through a Google Form. Those services collect your name, email, company or role and the answers you provide, under their own privacy policies, and share them with us to run the event.
  • Pass data. If you create your pass at cancuntech.day/en/pass, we store your name, title, company, email, the photo you upload (optional) and the UTM parameters you arrived with. The pass image is generated in your browser; the photo is only stored when you download or post your pass. If you ask us to fill in your details from your Luma registration, we use your email to send you a verification code. If you post your pass with the LinkedIn button, we use your authorization once to create that post on your profile; we do not keep your LinkedIn session.
  • Contact data. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we keep your name, your contact channel and the content of the message.

How we use it

  • To manage your registration, check-in and attendance, or your speaker application.
  • To send you logistics and communications about Cancún Tech Day and future editions. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To handle partnership and sponsorship requests.
  • To measure the reach of the site and our campaigns, and to show event ads on Google and Meta to people who visited the site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the site and the event: Luma (registration), Google (forms, analytics and advertising), Meta (measurement and advertising), Vercel (site hosting), Supabase (storage of pass data), Resend (delivery of verification codes) and LinkedIn (posting your pass, only if you ask). Each processes data under its own privacy policy, and some are located outside Mexico.

We may share aggregated attendance figures (for example, attendees per industry) with partners and sponsors, never data that identifies you without your consent.

Cookies and how to disable them

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. For personalized advertising you can adjust your preferences in Google's ad settings and in Meta's ad preferences. The site works without cookies.

Your rights

You can access, rectify, cancel or object to the processing of your data (ARCO rights), and withdraw your consent or limit how your data is used, by writing to cancun@latinxtechgroup.com. Include your name, the right you want to exercise and a way to reach you. We reply within 20 business days.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will publish the updated version on this page with the date of the last update.
